Audience Member Predictable, but well done. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/22/21 Full Review Audience Member Great soap opera. Really good musical scoring. Connie Stevens is delightful. You must remember this is yet another film concerning the very very wealthy and their values. This is NOT how normal people handled situations like this in 1961. Only the 1% -- the very elite country club Republicans -- could live a life so spoiled. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Maybe not the biggest Drama and today releastic. But for its time it was a very dramatic story. Camera work is wonderful like a painting! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Florid and overripe is too mild a description for this potboiler. The sets and photography are beautiful but the story is pure corn. And what a cast! Connie Stevens was never much of an actress but up against Troy Donahue and Bert Convy she seems like Vanessa Redgrave. The supporting cast is full of familiar faces, Lovey Howell is Bert's mother!, and they aquit themselves as well as they can given the tripe they're handed. If your in the mood for an over the top melodrama look no further. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member tawdry B movie fare4/22/11 rewatch this is like low grade wanna B douglas Sirk but misses the mark.
