Mar 4, 2025 Full Review Patrick McDonald WBGR-FM (93.7 FM - Monroe, WI) All titles are worthy ... including the anti-authoritarian THE MAN WHO COULD NOT REMAIN SILENT, but the best one is A LIEN, made in the USA, about the tactics of ICE ... and it's only going to get worse. What are papers unless to show them? Papers. Rated: 5/5 Mar 1, 2025 Full Review Christopher Llewellyn Reed Hammer to Nail "The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent" offers a master class in how to tackle a terrible tragedy with restraint, making the eventual climax all the more devastating. Feb 21, 2025 Full Review Al Alexander Movies Thru the Spectrum With one exception. 2025’s yield of Oscar-nominated live-action shorts is a bumper crop. They include subjects as wide-ranging as child labor in Asia, the proliferation of A.I. and the harsh and unethical tactics exercised by U.S. immigration officials. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/28/25 Full Review Stella Mostly Self-Indulgent and Dull Only one or two animated shorts are worth watching. The rest are too self-indulgent and boring—I nearly fell asleep. The live-action short was better. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/25 Full Review stefiam Five excellent films. High production quality, well-written, excellent performances. All worth seeing. My choice for the Oscar is the South African film Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/25 Full Review Grant W Sooo good! The Rhino movie short is a must see! The Robot was hilarious & thought provoking. Was not disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/25 Full Review Vern C Most of the movies were very interesting. But, they were depressing! I did not expect this from all of them.
