Donna M The movie was incredibly well done, the acting was wonderful and the concept of the movie was fresh and taking a perspective We haven't really seen much of before. Without going into much detail the only criticism that I have and it's not a deal breaker, but the fact that they used a female child angel near the end of the movie is not biblical at all. There are many types of angels but children are not angels and never become angels. That is false doctrine so if I were to change that and have an angelic man if they don't want to use any of the angelic beings who do not look human, or resemble humans, The better alternative would have been to use a man. That being said I would totally recommend this movie. I also hope that the people creating these Christian movies would be absolutely certain of their factual content based upon biblical and extra biblical works versus the societies expectations or norms. Do not be deceived and always use discernment when watching movies of this sort. Great deceptions will come even to those who claim to be God's children. It won't ever be a cult classic, it doesn't get a 5 because it's a block buster; it gets a 5 because the story is awesome. I'm sure few, if any, non believers would watch, but the anguish of a man's heart, who is perfect, and fasting, knowing He is the chosen lamb who fulfills all prophecy is displayed in a fantastical way. Loved it.b Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/02/25 Full Review Audience Member As a religious person who doesn’t read the bible, I love this. Suicide isn’t the answer. You’re just passing the hurt to someone else. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/21/21 Full Review Audience Member An absolute must see that has a huge entertainment value and amazing performances. Both the directing and the screenplay complimented each other well and I just thought that this was incredible. A great way to enjoy 2020 in film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is an incredible depiction of Christ's 40 days in the desert, spent without food, shelter or companionship--while being tempted to sin by Satan and to abandon His mission. Would definitely recommend this flick to anyone, as there are some incredible plot twists including Mary and Joseph, who do not appear in the biblical text of this story, but whom the production team found ways to use for added effect of how deceiving Satan was during this trial. And though the writers took liberties with taking a part of the bible which we know little about, with Christ alone in the desert, and making a beautiful and full length feature film out of it, they still stay completely true to biblical text by making sure that Christ speaks no fabricated words anywhere in the film--but that He only uses dialogue throughout the entire film that can be found in scripture and quotes it exactly as written. Beautifully filmed, well produced, incredibly well acted and completely thought provoking. I can only imagine how this production team would have done if they had a big studio film budget instead of this being a passion project funded by their own wallets. Its overwhelming what they were able to do with the little amount they had to work with. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
