Audience Member Where creatures? Where terror? Where clicker when need it? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Defiantly interesting plot material but not so endearing character personalities. These characters clearly appear to be trapped in their own world, dancing on the underside of glass in congruence frame. But would you want the Black Death any other way, really? Movie making techniques have really advanced since when this film was made. Instead of ambiance, we see more than a fair share of drear and dullness. By 3/4 point, I was bored hanging on for the plot to develop at a better pace. The only machination clicking into place by end of film was the one set up in the beginning, reminiscent of some drawbridge losing its chain latch, falling to earth unappeased. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty typical of these Poe-inspired black and white giallos, but still, is fun enough. I like the plague aspect. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Gets hard to follow due to the slow boring pace and thin plot, but it does have a interesting ending. So-so characters which don't add much to the story. Not as exciting as the title, but it's decent enough. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Italian Horror Mystery Before Its Heyday--Steele Yourself!! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Good Italian gothic horror featuring a young Barbara Steele. It's got occultists, ghosts, and plague-spreading revenants, though we only ever see the shadows of the latter. Twitching severed hands, plague victims, and plenty of melodrama to go around. If you're a fan of 1960s Hammer horror films, you'll very likely enjoy this. The ending is a bit weak, but it's solid spooky fun overall.
