Archiebald S I loved this movie, it is almost flawless, however, the story does spend alot of time building up the life of adam and kyle and, not to say thats a bad thing, but i would bet money that the chemotherapy scenes make up less than a third of the movie, and the movie is about a young persons battle with cancer. Other than that its an amazing film with great writing and great acting. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Pierre B It was an alright experience. Some parts were skippable. Some were forgettable. Good movie to pass the time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review Igor S Had a great time watching this one. It's not too heavy/depressing and not too light on the subject matter. It mantains a nice balance. Spoiler alert: if you are one of the nice guys, you will relate to Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character so much. Anna Kendrick's character is really sweet and you wish more nice guys knew people like her in real life. This is also one of the few movies where Seth Rogen isn't completely annoying and intolerable. He plays that friend who's always messing around but has your back when you need him to very well here. Bryce Dallas Howard's character is that sociopath girl that every nice guy has met at least once in their life and that makes for some seriously infuriating moments. Do yourself a favor and watch this one. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review donnie m watching now-the actor who plays Adam-way too rude and arrogant to everyone Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/24 Full Review Connor A This is a great film. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogan give great performances and the rest of the cast is good too. This film had me laughing throughout, despite its serious subject matter, and I nearly shed a few tears during some emotional moments. Definitely give this one a watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Jason M I know I say it about way too many movies, but this is one of my top 5 movies of all time. It's extremely underrated still to this day... Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com The honesty driving this picture is undeniable and is evident in every frame, Adam a compelling protagonist and for my part I couldn't take my eyes off of him. Rated: 3/4 Jan 27, 2012 Full Review Robbie Collin Daily Telegraph (UK) This frequently funny and moving film proves humour can be wrung from tricky subjects, providing it's done with sufficient thoughtfulness and wit. Rated: 3/5 Nov 25, 2011 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian This film leaves a strange taste in the mouth. Rated: 1/5 Nov 25, 2011 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review With an optimism that isn’t shrouded by a layer of saccharine artificiality, Levine’s film takes us through Adam’s stages of grief and delivers a light, affecting, modest, and enjoyable experience that deserves to be seen. Rated: 3/4 Mar 8, 2023 Full Review Jack Fleischer Battleship Pretension 50/50 is a gentle touch comedy. It's not wacky or zany, and while it is heartwarming, it's not syrupy.
