A convicted man is serving the remainder of his sentence at a fleabag hotel ran by a single woman and her daughter. He is drawn back into a life of crime when he kills a drug dealer for raping the teen girl. "A Bluebird in My Heart" is the typical revenge movie with solid performances and a strong cinematography. The unexpected but beautiful friendship between the conman and the girl is the emotional core of the movie.
