A Case of You est un film écrit par Keir O'Donnell et Justin Long qui s'offrent les premiers rôles de cette comédie romantique bien résumée par le personnage de Vince Vaughn en fin de film. Sous prétexte de mal-être, le personnage de Justin Long est un stalker à tendance psycopathe et parvient à atteindre Evan Rachel Wood grâce à ses talents tendancieux. Et tout ceci sans aucun discours sur la dangerosité de sa "tactique de drague". Evidemment, vous l'aurez compris, A Case of You est un film puant, une de ces idées qui auraient dû être proposées à d'autres gens afin qu'on puisse dire aux créateurs qu'ils allaient dans un sens qu'il ne fallait pas. Pour ajouter à la peine, c'est visuellement faiblard, trop long d'au moins 20 minutes et surtout d'une vacuité sans nom. A Case of You est ce qu'on fait de pire dans ce qui est l'indie romcom. Wood is likable as a free spirited girl, Long is just creepy. He's a neurotic stalker and she likes that he's a neurotic stalker. You'd think he'd require hours of intense therapy but he's ultimately cured by a conversation between his agent and a publicist. Apparently calling himself a donkey (jacka__) is supposed to redeem him to the audience. A lot of star cameo's in the movie that were more interesting than the Long/Wood love connection. Not sure Evan Rachel Wood is Rom Com material really. She is very tall, slender and looks slightly unhinged . She is better at playing troubled characters. Her character just seemed a little fake in this. Over the top. Just wonder why Justin Long didn't come out and ask her to date at beginning at the coffee shop. The we wouldn't have had a movie though. That's why its unrealistic.
