Barbara Shulgasser Common Sense Media A Christmas Mystery is a solid, kid-centric holiday movie that empowers children with examples set by Violet, Kenny, Maddie, and Harrison. Rated: 3/5 Dec 7, 2022 Full Review Liz Kocan Decider A sweet little movie. Dec 6, 2022 Full Review Rachel Wagner Hallmarkies Podcast The whole family will love this film Rated: 4/5 Dec 5, 2022 Full Review Ricky Valero Ready Steady Cut It’s an overly predictable kids’ mystery movie that relies heavily on Violet to carry the film on her back, which she does. It’s innocent fun. Rated: 3/5 Nov 24, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Steven C Aside from idolatry, I love to watch detective movies. The mistery case on this movie is light but pretty good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review K R This movie is not Christmasy. It could have been set any time of year, just change bells to anything else. There's no Santa, reindeer, celebration, food, nothing. They don't give Oscar Nuñez nearly enough to do, which is criminal. There's no comic relief, no stakes, and no payoff when the mystery is revealed. It's apparently set on the Oregon coast, but the setting is very obviously not the Pacific Northwest. Neither the architecture, weather, or trees looking anything like the Pacific Northwest. The dialogue is pretty painful. Oof. It doesn't seem intended for kids? It's like a bad movie about adults but they just made some of the adults 11. All the characters are kind of angsty, but not in a believable way. Disappointing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/16/24 Full Review Vivek S The writing was awful. Clearly low budget and low effort. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/01/24 Full Review christopher c. m It's a Christmas "Nancy Drew" of the 21st Century. With a pretty good mystery, for kids. Not so much for adults. It has some mild character issues, but as a whole... If you are a Nancy Drew fan, you'll like this one. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Great little Christmas film, pegged the thief in the first 20 minutes, but this kept our attention from beginning to end, it’s great for the whole family, definitely a fun watch. Merry Christmas! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/23/22 Full Review Audience Member A pretty fun unique Christmas story that younger audiences will love. I thought the first half of this was great. It tells a pretty cool tale about the magic of these Christmas bells that were left a kid 100 years earlier. They are put in a museum but end up getting stolen. So it's a Christmas mystery movie which I thought was pretty cool. During the 2nd and 3rd acts of the movie it loses the Christmas vibe and it just feels like a children's mystery movie. Overall, I thought it was fun. The child actors were good and there was some good humor. I just thought it fell into mediocrity. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
