Tim Robey Daily Telegraph (UK) The shores of Buzios in Brazil beckon in a drama about infidelity and sexual awakening which mainly settles for being easy on the eye. Rated: 3/5 Nov 19, 2010 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian The tale is told competently enough, but the central relationship between the parents, Clarice and Mathias, is unsatisfying... Rated: 2/5 Nov 18, 2010 Full Review Matt Bochenski Little White Lies Dhalia gives the film a glossy sheen (with the slightest undercurrent of Oedipal tension), but Adrift never really moves beyond the tale of one little rich girl's awakening. Rated: 3/5 Nov 18, 2010 Full Review Markie Robson-Scott The Arts Desk Brazilian director Heitor Dhalia's third feature film, is a sensuous coming-of-age story as well as an ode to the Brazilian beach landscape of Buzios and the band of gorgeous bikini-clad teenagers who run wild in it. Nov 16, 2017 Full Review Alistair Harkness Scotsman Mercifully, Vincent Cassel provides a strong lifeline... Rated: 3/5 Nov 22, 2010 Full Review Sophie Ivan Film4 Elegantly scripted, elegantly acted and elegant looking, by avoiding obvious dramatic fireworks, Adrift turns out to be a slow-burning, coming of age sparkler. Rated: 4/5 Nov 19, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review don s A bittersweet coming of age tale wrapped in a depressing dissolution of marriage story. Laura Neiva knocked my socks off with her performance as 14-year old Filipa. This is emotional on many levels, and the cast is terrific. Not my usual type of movie - in my queue due to Camilla Belle's involvement - but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
