Audience Member Wow ... John Huston must have needed money badly. He plays a priest who runs an orphanage that's scheduled to be shut down. He uses his friendship with soccer star Pele to save the orphanage. Most of the actions character's take make no sense at all. Really awful. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This one really lays it on thick. Soccer superstar Pele helps a priest save an orphanage from greedy redevelopers. Overstates the popularity of soccer in San Diego at the time. Sockers tickers were never hard to come by at Jack Murphy Stadium. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Nothing minor here, as Pele (playing himself) coaches underdog orphanage soccer team against a rich prep school. A bit farfetched--especially news reports of NASL sellout in San Diego. Not quite as dramatic as Pele's injured ribs-bicycle kick goal that defeated the Nazis in VICTORY.
