This movie made zero, and I mean zero, sense. Spoilers ahead. They walk barefoot instead of wearing socks. Apparently they've built up neanderthal level callouses because sticks, rocks, weeds - nothing bothers them. They walk in a line leaving the youngest at the far rear. They leave pictures up all over the place which could easily be knocked down and make noise. The alien couldn't get at the kids through a small metal door but took the side out of the silo. Animals, which make noise, seem to survive for the most part. The kids' startle reflex has disappeared in less than 2 years. It never occurred to the parents that the daughter blamed herself, and therefore they should have reassured her. They get PREGNANT????? In almost 2 years they never had ANY ideas as to what their weaknesses could be? Humans could have lured them with noise and killed them all. Using sound against them hasn't occurred to all the world's scientists or engineers or heck just someone with an ounce of sense or imagination. And the ultimate weapon that worked was advertised in neon lights throughout the whole movie - I guessed it immediately.
