mark m This is what happens when you can't let what would be a beautiful, natural film, stunning in its own right, simply be that. Instead, when you cannot help but overlay your own egoism, with a fitting philosophy, you get a film that simply distracts and detracts. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/12/24 Full Review Audience Member I'm a Christian and I'm a man. I'm embarrassed on both levels by this film. I've heard so much about John Eldredge over the years calling out real men... there wasn't a real man in the entire cast. The usage of the word "story" was over-done. The slow motion filming of bad motorcycle riding as if they were defying death felt like a SNL sketch mocking a documentary about motor cycle riding. Not that this is wrong (politically correct discaimer) but his two sons have more feminine qualities that a Disney Princess. This movie is horrible! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Indisputably the worst movie in my 50 years. I painfully sat through it just to be polite, given the company that invited me to see it. It even topped Robin Hood - Men in Tights by a long shot, which I walked out of to get my money back in the first 15 minutes. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Very late to the game here but this movie is just awful. It is nothing like the trailer, very very little riding by bad riders. Its about JESUS and men's feelings. NO WOMEN ALLOWED. Its a father and three sons and two of their friends. One of the friends has riding experience. None of the rest do. The other older friend of two of the sons seem quite "indoorsy." Those two sons are awfully effeminate but have girlfriends. Im 100% fine with that but one's mind immediately jumps too, are they afraid to come out to to their macho preachy minister Dad? In any event, they say "story" about 2,000 times in a way that seems meaningful to them but comes across as forced, contrived, and very thin. The trailer is FALSE ADVERTISING. To their credit, they refunded my money. BTW before the movie came out, the Dad admitted on christian TV that the trailer was a trick to get non-believer adventure and motorcycle enthusiasts to hear their proselytizing. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie! Highly recommended! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member As a motorcyclist, I can handle the deceptive marketing. As an atheist, I can deal the nutty God stuff. As a heterosexual male, I'm fine with boys in denial of their sexuality. But the dialog... OMG it was awful. If I was stuck in an elevator with these fellows I'd poke my ears out with a rusty nail. It was that bad, especially that kooky "padre" dude. You can see the crazy in his eyes. Hide your children if he's in sight! And I'm not a violent person, but that philosopher guy is Ted Cruz punchable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
