Anthony Puccinelli Chicago Reader Too much of a crude thing... Rated: 1/4 Jun 9, 2022 Full Review Janet Maslin New York Times If the movie itself aimed higher, it could have drawn laughs without compromising Ace's anarchic sense of fun. But Ace is slightly nastier this time. May 20, 2003 Full Review Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle Carrey is really more clown than actor. And that's where the Jerry Lewis reflection comes in. Carrey is not just goony, he's beyond control, like someone in need of serious sedation (or at least some firm directorial guidance). Rated: 1.5/5 Mar 10, 2003 Full Review James Croot The Post NZ Decidedly ill-conceived and underbaked. Rated: 1.5/5 Jul 6, 2023 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Highlighted by a mechanical rhino skit (built and acquired out of thin air) that takes the cake on combining unrefined humor and laugh-out-loud unexpectedness. Rated: 4/10 Sep 9, 2020 Full Review Leigh Paatsch Herald Sun (Australia) A grown man vomit-feed a young bird in its nest, stick his head out of a rhinoceros' backside, or commit a wide variety of toilet humour-based atrocities in rapid-fire succession. Sean J 20 % on rotten tomatoes 🍅 I don't think so. this is ace ventura Played by Jim carry . There's nothing hotter then Jim carry in the 90 's . Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/25 Full Review Jon W I've always enjoyed this movie, but it can be over the top at times. Highly recommend if you enjoy Jim Carrey's humor! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/09/25 Full Review Andrew M Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls is one of those movies I have a lot of mixed feelings about. On one hand, I can see why so many people love it—Jim Carrey is completely unhinged in the best way, and there are moments that had me laughing out loud, like the ridiculous scene with the rhino or his over-the-top antics in the tribal village. It’s one of those films that doesn’t take itself seriously at all, and sometimes, that’s exactly what you need when you’re in the mood for pure silliness. But I have to admit, it doesn’t hit the same way the first one does for me. The story feels more like a series of gags loosely strung together, and some of the jokes just didn’t land as well. I think Carrey’s performance is what keeps it all together—his energy is unmatched, and even when the humor feels a bit juvenile, he somehow makes it work. So, for me, this isn’t the kind of movie I’d go out of my way to watch regularly, but it’s perfect for when you’re in the mood to completely shut your brain off and just laugh at the absurdity of it all. If you’re a big Jim Carrey fan or love over-the-top comedies, it’s worth giving it a shot—but don’t expect the same magic as the first film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/05/25 Full Review Audrey N Ace Ventura one had too much of the '80s directing and acting in it and Courtney Cox still sucks at acting but better in Friends ...Ace Ventura when nature calls is a perfect 90's Jim Carrey movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/25 Full Review Sean D Funny, silly, and enjoyable movie.
