I turned this on after finding it on Amazon Prime. I thought it would be fun to watch a full blown disaster. I was surprised that it was rather smart. This was nothing but a popcorn movie - but a damned good one. I believe it bombed because, post 2000, people had gotten tired of Eddie Murphy. We'd seen all of his tricks before. If Bruce Willis or Harrison Ford been the lead, this could have been a classic.

In spite of the multitude of bad reviews, I really liked this movie. It is basically a film noir gangster movie upgraded to the 21st century on the moon. It has a lot of very creative sets, and special effects. And it hits my funny bone every time.
