don m @dmy2969 Jan 22 Giving this an 7.5/10 rating From P.A. Works, their last film was ‘Colourful stage Miku Movie’, so this has the nice clean look for that, and some similar themes. But this is their version of Lewis Carroll’s book with a technological theme and a look at society, mental health. As the main two protagonists - Alice and Lise, travel through Wonderland, which is very mad and beautiful, lots of both in this colourful world both real and not. Alice is very gutsy and very forward kind of girl of the moment, which leads to all sorts of great situations, just like the book, with Lise, totally the opposite, and we see her motivations and mood change. This film is a lot of fun, with a great message told well, and even after my forth watch, I found it a great little film It rushes along a little bit, I think it could be a little slower. The music really sets each scene and characters and costumes have flair to them. so it’s very easy on the eye, the Japanese actors they had a blast doing it. See more Read all reviews
