When Jimmy Walker, a local demolition derby driver, finds out his girlfriend Everly is pregnant, he figures it's the toughest news he'll get that day. Yet, somehow, the two of them also manage to accidentally open a mysterious portal, and a horde of bio-engineered alien creatures are set loose in their small town. Now, in a race against time, these soon-to-be parents must quickly learn to work together and stop the monster invasion, or their town, their planet, and their relationship will face sudden annihilation. Turns out it's going to be a long day in Alien Country.

There's enough enthusiasm to director and co-writer Boston McConnaughey's sci-fi comedy to carry it for a little while, but the characters and concepts aren't nearly as funny as McConnaughey makes them out to be.
