Juan A & James B A well-acted thought-provoking film especially for same-sex couples. It raises important issues which highlight why it is crucial for these couples to take legal measures to protect their assets and have validated the integrity of their relationships in the eyes of family members and society-at-large. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/29/24 Full Review Romen L A beautifully filmed movie with a story about a loving successful same sex couple and the relationship with their extended family and friends. It is well paced enough to allow for the development of the central characters you can’t help but to care about. It speaks to the theme of what constitutes family (blood or chosen). The director’s storytelling provides glimpses into each characters’ place in life and the pressures each face living in today’s modern society. It is a relevant cautionary tale that is universal. A story that is woven with love and its resilience. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/26/25 Full Review Audience Member The performances of Patra Au are central to the film's emotional resonance. also and Maggie Li Lin-lin was impressive supporting act. Great film, worth to watch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/23/25 Full Review Leroy K Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! A fantastic film! A moving story and beautifully made. I highly recommend! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/25 Full Review Naomi K A beautiful film in both its cinematography and the delicacy and thought-provoking way in which it portrays Angie’s story of injustice. I felt such sympathy and sadness for the protagonist. The film serves as a stark reminder of how in death, families can be torn apart by money and material matters and lose sight of the love and human connection. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/22/25 Full Review lo l "All Shall Be Well" is a profoundly moving masterpiece that left me in tears. The film showcases superb writing, meticulous direction, and outstanding performances. What impressed me the most is writer/director Ray Yeung’s deep analysis of the same-sex marriage situation and wealth gap in Hong Kong, which resonates throughout. His craft captures each character's complexities as well as their physical and emotional burdens in the most tender way. This nuanced approach is no small feat; there may be antagonists, but there is no true villain—I found myself empathizing with all of them, hoping and fearing for all the choices they face. It offers an opportunity to explore different human relationships in just 93 minutes. This heartfelt story is both painful and gentle, lingering in my mind long after viewing, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/21/25 Full Review Read all reviews
