I thought this was quite a touching film, depicting a mostly long distance relationship (consisting primarily of written letter contact) and the upset caused by the lack of stability in the fathers presence. Its maybe a little predictable but I couldn't help but feel sorry for the mother (played by Virginie Efira). The use of music is quite well done - it's not too brash or over the top and there's some nice cinematography present too. Its a thoughtful film, which I'd happily recommend, even though its a cheesy film, its reasonably good and an enjoyable watch overall, yes.

This is a bittersweet, but beautiful story of the troubled relationship between a mother and daughter. Despite facing adversity, social injustice and personal hardships, the relationship endures. Ultimately, love and perseverance get them through the difficulties, letting them move on to a time when they can begin to rekindle the profound mutial affection that they once shared.
