Helen R Nov 2 I am surprised that this film is not more highly rated by some of the professional critics. I am arrogant/brave enough to suggest that they appear to have missed its point. The bullfighter theme acts as a metaphor for the courtroom antics, suggesting that all the skill in the world won’t necessarily unearth the truth. The bull might still live. The film lulls the viewer into a false sense of security - showing the trial largely through the eyes of the defence lawyer. In that sense, the film is very clever. See more Read all reviews
