09/24/2010 Its a film about kids and within them a mentally retarded kid. Mani Ratnam has done it with his touch of perfection and poetic sense and a bit of reality. I still wonder how could he made shamili, then a small kid (just 3 yrs old), to act so natural. Credits to Maestro, Living Legend Ilayaraja for the BGM's Overall its a 'must watch' movie. Malgré de belles chansons, une réalisation élégante et l'interprétation magistrale de Shamili (quatre ans au moment du tournage!!), le film ne convainc pas à cause de trop nombreuses digressions scénaristiques inutiles. Un beau film tout de même. I cried watching the movie when I was very young. Amazing movie with alot of adolescent action, wonderful songs by Ilayaraaja, beautiful cinematography, and acting. Worth watching.
