Edward Porter The Times (UK) The film’s positive outlook has value, but when the writer, Ximena Garcia Lecuona, tries to add a bit of conflict, the results are hopelessly flimsy. julian p Wonderful rom-com I watched it without a standard and I was blown away. However, I didn't like how everything crumbles at the end. There has to be a sequel called Anything's Possible: After College Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/08/24 Full Review Prince D A wonderful rom-com about self discovery, young love, and allowing yourself to be vulnerable. The chemistry between the leads reminds us all the feeling of falling in love for the first time. While the conflict is not handled as well as it could have been, and the resolution happens somewhat abruptly, the story itself is beautiful. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/13/23 Full Review Pedro Y Pq casais lgbts não podem simplesmente ficarem juntas, juntos, juntes no final???? Ela e ele passarem por tudo aquilo para no final simplesmente terminarem. Mais o filme tem críticas sociais importantes, e é foda, mais realmente só foi o final que foi podre. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/14/22 Full Review tom m I found it to be an entertaining, charming, well told story. Good production quality. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member What could've been an inspiring film, simply highlighted how self-centred and entitled US kids are. Hard pass. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Director Billy Porter makes his directorial debut in the LGBTQ community focusing on a new kind of romance during our Gen-Z era Eva Reign plays Kelsa, a black transgender making her way through high school A boy named Khal played by Abubakr Ali has a crush on her He's willing to ask her out but the rest of the student body seems like they're having a hard time accepting this There's always gonna be teasing much less transphobic behavior from people Kesla is only worried about people pretending to be 'woke' more than the harassment itself In a way we are part of the animal kingdom, love isnt easy, ordinary or predictable but it is messy, joyful and exciting, do we live our lives right now or spend the rest of our lives wondering what if?, we shouldn't be concerned pleasing everyone or we end up hurting the ones we love most, the Internet is a minefield for those supporting or against anybody remotely different, losing friends is part of growing up, not everything is about gender, cisgender/queer/non-binary etc. none are safe from love which is amazing in itself, it's just only about 2 people in the end, its not just about existing as we are it's finding out what more we are capable of Both Reign and Ali work spectacularly together braving the world being out and about No matter the challenges or hostility they're willing to venture into new territory Khal doesn't have to explain himself to anyone and Kesla wants to live her life without concern Porter reminds us about uniqueness not making it hard to love and we can be truly exceptional in our own way The film is a welcoming addition to LGBTQ representation testing the boundaries of modern romance in the world of social media and real-life Bigoted diversity is a rare thing these days in film but should thoroughly be explored more Inducing hope and joy but also self-love is what makes this one in particular quite a charming viewing Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
