Stephen Farber The Hollywood Reporter First-time writer-director Christopher Chambers has crafted a potent, lovingly detailed evocation of an unfamiliar California subculture. Given the novelty of the setting and the recent reminders of the Armenian genocide, the film deserves to be seen Jun 8, 2016 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times Newcomer Roohinian carries a lot of heartbreaking confusion and insecurity in his young-but-suddenly-old eyes, and veteran actor Sharafyan imbues his proud, values-strong character with a touching mixture of responsibility and wariness. Oct 16, 2015 Full Review Dan Gvozden L.A. Weekly Finding its place somewhere in between the boldness of Boyz n the Hood and the naturalism of The Kid With a Bike, it's the specific details of Aram, Aram, particularly its all-Armenian cast, that make the film such a moving success. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw Aram Aram at pacific theaters - full house, awesome with a epic chase at the end, especially for indie movies. the movie is about an armenian kid who is new to the U.S. and the kid starts to follow some gangsters. you feel like you are seeing inside a part of L.A. you can't normally see inside of - it's got a lot of heart, seriously emotional ending but really you gotta see it for the KILLER action sequence at the end. good ending!
