Forgotten soap star and self-appointed Mother of the Year, Ronnie Lipsick is living the life she never asked for. An acting career derailed due to an untimely pregnancy 18 years earlier, dreams of stardom replaced with a suburban performing arts school. A husband, Cormack, whose lust and love for life has gone as limp as his manhood. Youngest daughter, Norah, appears to have no use for her and finally, the ungrateful eldest, Audrey, who Ronnie has given the best part of her parenting time to mold into the success she always wanted to be. But when an accident lands Audrey in a coma, Ronnie gets her second chance at the life she actually wanted by taking on her daughter's identity.

Luke Buckmaster Guardian It continues to be funny -- partly because of the drollery of Lou Sanz’s script, which is filled with gallows humour; partly because of the pacing, which hits a good rhythm, feeling quick but never rushed. Rated: 4/5 Aug 19, 2024 Full Review Christian Zilko indieWire “Audrey” is a prescient warning that we should all treat our rooftop excursions with more caution than ever before. Rated: B+ Mar 11, 2024 Full Review Peter Martin ScreenAnarchy The universe in which Audrey, the film, exists: entirely askew, totally tipsy, and consistently funny. Rated: 3.5/5.0 Jan 5, 2025 Full Review Peter Gray The AU Review Whether you actually want to admit it or not, there’s something admirable about a comedy that revels in the fact that it doesn’t play well with others. Audrey is very much that bitch. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 23, 2024 Full Review Anthony Morris ScreenHub Audrey's comedy might be blunt at best, but it gets better as it goes along and the characters begin to shine. Rated: 3/5 Nov 15, 2024 Full Review Nadine Whitney The Curb Audrey is utterly bonkers and hilarious. Natalie Bailey and Lou Sanz make the audience complicit in wanting the film to keep pushing as far as it does and then laughing in delight when it goes further than they imagine.
