In his second screen adventure, British super spy Austin Powers must return to 1969, as arch-nemesis Dr. Evil has ventured back to that year and successfully stolen Austin's "mojo" and set up a powerful laser and aimed it at Earth. With the help of gorgeous agent Felicity Shagwell, the newly single Austin must now not only contend with Dr. Evil, but also Evil's vicious, pint-size attack-clone, Mini-Me.

What defeats Austin and Dr. Evil in the new movie is what brought them down the last time: Myers' inability to know what jokes need to be taken further, and what jokes should be cut short. Go to Full Review

Its levels of energy and inventiveness almost never lag – although Myers and his team are rather too fond of repeating their best gags ad nauseam. Go to Full Review

The sexual innuendo is back and still largely effective, but the repetitiousness of jokes from the first film start to lose their hilarity. Go to Full Review

Torin F Dec 6 AUSTIN POWERS 2 embraces all the charms of the first film and ups the ante with hilarious results. Many of the most memorable Austin Powers bits (Mini Me, Fat B, etc.) are introduced in this swingin' comedy classic. See more Hunter A. @Fatal_Error_Music Dec 5 I enjoyed this as much as the first film, the only real complaint I have is the way they wrote out Vanessa, it just felt rushed See more Jace E @thefilmguy Nov 11 Bye Vanessa. I actually liked this movie more than the first one. I don't love the time-travel trope, but they navigate it well (mostly by ignoring anything that could change the timeline). The introduction of Mini Me sets this one just above the first. I also love how Scott was trying to be the voice of reason through the whole thing. Best Character: Mini Me Best Quote: "Well, throw me a freakin' bone here, Scott!" - Dr. Evil Best Scene: On Jerry Springer Best Piece of Score: "Soul Bossa Nova" Note: Nothing like hearing Shrek's voice come from an obese hairy man. See more Daniel M Oct 26 It was much better than the first movie with a more polished feel to it. Such a classic movie and still funny to this day! See more Taylor H. @TH0809 Oct 7 Shockingly, there are just as many belly laughs in this sequel as the original! Worth a watch and a re-watch! See more Edward W Aug 30 Hilarious follow up sequel. Probably Myers’ best work. See more Read all reviews
