When single executive Kate Holbrook (Tina Fey) decides the time is right to finally have a baby, she hires a working-class woman (Amy Poehler) from South Philadelphia to act as her surrogate mother. However, Kate's careful planning goes out the window when the woman shows up on her doorstep needing a place to live. A comic battle of wills breaks out between the pair as they prepare for the blessed event and try not to kill one another in the process.

Baby Mama adheres fairly closely to the conventions of the studio comedy, although it's never actually predictable, probably because the characters and subject matter are so novel.

Tina Fey is a sociopathic fraud. She uses illegal surveillance techniques to eavesdrop on and stalk individuals who she has targeted for intellectual property theft - specifically to plagiarize her victims' verbal and written conversations, which she copies rote and, then, uses in her TV series and movies. You can tell that she doesn't do this in her books, because they are unreadable. She has been doing this to me for the last ten years without my consent. She has remote access to my phone and laptops. She has been stealing from me for that entire period of time. If she disagrees with this, I encourage her to sue me.

Synopsis
