It's been nearly two years since Superman's (Henry Cavill) colossal battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) devastated the city of Metropolis. The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). Convinced that Superman is now a threat to humanity, Batman embarks on a personal vendetta to end his reign on Earth, while the conniving Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel.

Samantha Riedel Bitch Media Let's not make any bones about it - on any scale, Dawn of Justice is painful to watch. Feb 10, 2021 Full Review Matthew Rozsa Salon.com It is without question an important film today, and a quintessential product of the America we inhabit. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 3, 2017 Full Review Aramide Tinubu Shadow and Act There is much to claw through here, so much so that the audience might easily find themselves exhausted from the overall aggression of the film. However, a lot of the story does work. The action is good, and the emotion feels real most of the time. Apr 12, 2017 Full Review Tania Hussain The Hudsucker With a well-painted influence from the Man of Steel’s darkened hues and dramatic imaging, Batman v Superman is a very naturalistic story with a somber script. Jul 10, 2024 Full Review Brendan Cassidy InSession Film The film was written by both Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, and their jarring duality is very present. Rated: C- Jun 17, 2024 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson This new franchise has chosen its mature path and they are showing the resolute fortitude to stick with it, haters be damned. Nicholas D bad bad movie way too long Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/18/23 Full Review Uncle R. Terrible movie that’s not comic accurate at all. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/16/25 Full Review Stathis K Visuals: 10/10 – Dark, stylish, almost mythic. Every frame looks like a graphic novel come to life. Soundtrack: 10/10 – Zimmer and Junkie XL go crazy here. The Batman theme, Wonder Woman’s entrance… pure chills. Action: 9/10 – The warehouse scene alone is legendary. The final battle is huge and chaotic in a good way. Story: 7.5/10 – Ambitious, heavy, and symbolic, but sometimes a bit messy. Still, it has a lot more depth than most superhero movies. Performances: 9/10 – Affleck is a brutal, angry Batman. Cavill continues his grounded, emotional Superman. Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman steals every scene. Overall, 8.5/10. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/16/25 Full Review Rock L what the hell did i just watch? why did it go on for so long? martha? really? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/16/25 Full Review video m impossible to watch Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/15/25 Full Review Luker O This movie had tons of potential. Cavill and Affleck were great. Batman was the best thing about this movie. His character arc is controversial but I think it was cool, his Batman suit designs are awesome. The story was meh. The actual Batman Vs Superman fight felt forced and underwhelming , the resolution felt forced, awkward but deep, and Lex Luthor’s casting was… interesting. Jesse Eisenberg is an awesome actor who did his best but Jesse is not Lex Luthor. This movie no doubt threw WB into a panic and made DCEU a complete disaster.
