After beauty school teacher Joy Miller becomes a local hero by rescuing lab animals from a fire, she's offered a job by Ira Grushinsky, an emissary from the Eastern European nation of Slovetzia. Boris Pochenko, the country's dictator, wants to improve his image by hiring an American tutor for his children. I really enjoy watching this movie! I’ve watched it several times! I think it’s light-hearted, and I love the way Fran is able to soften up Timothy. As a hopeless romantic, this movie suits me perfectly! 😌

Fairly clever and lighthearted. A bit cheesy and sappy. Her NYC character feels original and sincere. Ending kiss scene is some great romance - it felt very iconic/ nostalgic “The hand is the fork to the arm”
