Wiebe B A strong reminder that the climate crisis is real and not going away any time soon. Great cinematography along with some awesome interviews. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review Scotty R There's no man-made climate change.. no global warming.. it's ALL a HOAX by people like Al Gore & Leo DiCaprio to make us pay "CARBON CREDITS" on our car insurance & yearly taxes to the Government. Leonardo DiCaprio invested close to 1 Billion dollars into his Climate change hoax business. He has made back approx 3 Billion by flying around his private jet to different events to talk about climate change. This movie is total BS. Anyone who cares to do research will learn that the Earth wobbles every so many millenia. The Aztecs figured it out for Pete's Sake. THAT'S what 2012 was... the peak of the wobble & now it's moving back in the other direction. The seasons swing back & forth.. that's it. There's ZERO to fear & nothing will change. The Ice caps have GROWN since this trash movie was made. LMAO PLEASE WAKE UP & STOP VOTING FOR EVERYONE'S ENSLAVEMENT. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review júlio a Bastante interessante e nada monótono...é um pouco triste também de ver como anda nosso mundo.... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Before the Flood, narrated by and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is an educational film that shows the dangers of climate change. Despite covering very heavy topics, the film also shows possible solution to this problem threatening the planet. I enjoyed how the film makers went around the globe to show the effects of climate change in many different biomes ranging from snowy locations to small island civilizations. I liked how this movie pulled no punches and firmly pointed fingers at corporations funding politicians who continue to push disinformation. I think this is a great film to watch or to show others interested in climate change. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member This documentary is very good, the information they give you at the start of the film is very interesting. This movie shows you the facts of climate change and how humans have been contributing to it more and more. I like how it shows when people started talking about Global warming and how some people changed lightbulbs and called it a day. This movie is also great at showing how some politics tell the public that climate change doesn't exist. I like it showed how the people get manipulated by politics. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member "Before the Flood" shows the harsh realities that our plant is going through. Through this three-year journey and documentation, Leonardo Di Caprio ventures to far parts of the world to interview and discuss climate change with political leaders and scientists from Greenland to Japan. The message is simple "Save Planet Earth." It baffles me that people believe in such outrageous concepts and ideas that have no scientific evidence but have will not believe in climate change and its affects it has on our plant. Politicians and scientists alike that have some sort of cognitive development acknowledge and understand what is happening on Earth. All this data and evidence is displayed throughout the documentary when various scientist and politicians bring up how we are destroying our plant with horrid conditions and that we need to reverse it by using alternative energies and promoting policies and laws to be changed. Especially here in the United States where our own President refused to believe in climate change and pulled us away from our plan with other nations to create massive changes. All in all, this wasn't an eye opener for me because I have followed climate change since Al Gore, but people should get their head out the gutter and actually pay attention to something that matters. Save Planet Earth if you want to enjoy your loved ones and your beloved hobbies because if we don't change soon, then we will ultimately die off as a species. Bilge Ebiri Spirituality & Health ...an effective and impassioned documentary. Mar 23, 2020 Full Review Roxana Hadadi Punch Drunk Critics This is well-researched, clearly articulated, and quite frankly terrifying stuff. Before the Flood makes you want to slap people in the face with your knowledge. Rated: 4/5 Nov 7, 2016 Full Review Peter Rainer Christian Science Monitor It should all resemble a vanity project except for one thing: The film lays out the case for reform with steadfast rigor. Rated: B Oct 28, 2016 Full Review Josh Winning Radio Times The result is an emotional film, modestly directed by Fisher Stevens, that examines the issue on both a highly personal and global scale. Rated: 4/5 Jun 26, 2020 Full Review Phil Guie Film-Forward.com If the filmmakers had merely enlisted DiCaprio as a narrator, the visual imagery and information would still have been powerful, and important enough, to capture our attention.
