Richard S I finally watched this movie expecting it to be terrible. It was surprisingly good at times. The biggest thing for me is seeing so many actors who are now gone. It kind of gets you in the feels for nostalgic reasons. Just understand you will need to turn your brain off a bit to think fully enjoy it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/17/23 Full Review Jared F I love the part where he fights for the rights of victims of domestic violence in prison. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/16/23 Full Review MkRain11 PEAK CINEMA with HEART!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I just recently stumbled upon this movie and am I glad I did! They just don't make movies like this anymore. I'd compare it to Dumb & Dumber with a mix of Roadhouse. If you don't like either one of those movies don't watch this one... And btw why are you even reading this review!!!!? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/21/23 Full Review Josh L very good! i would have liked if it was a little bit longer but overall great movie! Ruth Hessey MovieTime, ABC Radio National I wasted two valuable hours of my life on Big Stan -- don't make the same mistake. Dec 1, 2008 Full Review Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald This may be the first mainstream Hollywood comedy where the anus drives the movie -- and I don't mean that as a double entendre. Rated: 1.5/5 Dec 1, 2008 Full Review David Stratton At the Movies (Australia) 2008 has, with one or two exceptions, been a diabolical year for American comedy, and Big Stan hits rock bottom. Rated: 0.5/5 Dec 1, 2008 Full Review Joly Herman Common Sense Media Prison rape comedy is offensive and a waste of time. Rated: 1/5 Dec 19, 2010 Full Review Brian Orndorf DVDTalk.com A prison comedy that boldly confronts the "hilarity" of male rape, Big Stan isn't as offensive as it imagines itself to be, and nowhere near as silly as I'm sure Rob Schneider hoped for. It's a just a forgettable, unfunny waste of time. Rated: D Mar 16, 2009 Full Review Jarrod Walker FILMINK (Australia) If you're not a fan, then this won't do much to convert you, unless you, like Schneider, have a dubious obsession with anal rape jokes.
