Sarah C Sure, this movie never reaches any of the thrill inducing, narratively complex, visually stylistic, or emotionally impactful peaks expected from "AAA" cinema blockbusters. Sure, a complete summary of this movie's key events is perplexingly, concisely, and yet still perfectly also serving as the title of the movie itself. This movie is, however, a great movie to throw on at 5am after more than half the party has already fallen asleep, to set playing on a second screen while otherwise occupied online, or to encourage door-to-door religious missionaries to politely make excuses for suddenly having to leave your home never to return. Bad movies come from good movie makers trying to make something above their ability to achieve and the constant feeling of awkwardness that failure taints the final product with. This, through the same creative path of choices guiding completion, is a GREAT MOVIE! It is clear that the entire cast and crew were in complete sync in regards to what the end result should, could, and would be. They came to film Bikini Hackers for an audience coming to see Bikini Hackers and, by golly, Bikini Hackers they provided. Surprisingly, the actual technical cinematic elements assembled here are far above the quality this film has any right at contain. Every scene is well lit, aesthetically framed, intelligently edited together, acted consistently, and all with perfect audio mixing too. I can't understand just how good everything outside the, you know, actual premise and plot of this movie was made by a team of such high professional competence and experience, and yet so many "AAA" productions unflinchingly, unconvincingly, unmatching, often spatially incongruous, and almost always hurriedly filmed second unit pick up shots. tl;dr Come for the "Bikini Hackers". Stay for the "Bikini Hackers". Witness Bikini Hackers both hacking and wearing bikinis. Query if hacking of bikinis themselves was an implied promise made in the movie's title, whether it would be crazy to argue that the movie had failed to deliver on that promise, and to become ever more mentally tangled in trying to stop yourself endlessly wondering what that would even mean.
