Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com But who really cares about filmmaking fundamentals when the force of aggression registers off the charts, working countless fights and agreeable acts of heroism into a superbly entertaining blast of brutality. Rated: B Nov 12, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Bangkok Knockout is a 2010 Thai martial arts film directed by Panna Rittikrai and written by Jonathon Siminoe. The film stars Chatchapol Kulsiriwuthichai, Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul, Gitabak Agohjit, Supaksorn Chaimongkol, Sorapong Chatree, Virat Kemgrad, Speedy Arnold, Sarawoot Kumsorn, Krittiya Lardphanna, Sumret Muengput, Deka Partum, Panna Rittikrai, Puchong Sarthorn, Poonyapat Soonkunchanon, Tanavit Wongsuwan, Vinai Weangyanogoong and Kiattisak Udomnak. It was produced by Na Film. It was distributed by Sahamongkol Film International. Vision wrote: "the film revolves around a bunch martial arts tycoons playing a game of Russian Roulette. Wasn't too thrilled until midway, where we get to see the Thai martial arts legends play their parts. Not only the did the pioneers showcase their superb qualities, the new Thai martial artists held their own crowns, especially in the end. Panna Rittikrai plays the serious outdated martial artist badmouthing the western dominance over Thailand. The best scene was at the end. Panna's end. Three fries!" Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/22/25 Full Review Christian R Best action in a martial arts movie. Terrible acting. Horrendous sound mixing. Many times people sound like they are underwater while the music is purposely trying to drown them out. Many continuity errors. Despite all that 10/10 action maybe even 11 or 12 out of 10, 1 to 2 stars everything else, and it still comes out to be a must see for any martial art movie enthusiast. If I could shake the hand of all the action stars I would fly out to meet them wherever! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/26/25 Full Review Audience Member Great movie. Some of the best fight scenes ever! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/22 Full Review Audience Member Lots of great action, but terrible story structure and acting. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member To say this film is great would be a disservice to great films, that being said this film is pretty awesome. Forget the really bad acting from the actors who speak English, and the occasional bad or out of sync dubbing. This film is all about the martial arts. The stunts and choreography are brilliant, while at times I did wonder how most of the characters and actors aren't dead from lacerations , trauma to the head or didn't have broken rib cages, it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the film. I was generally grimacing at some of the moves and in awe of some of the moves. A martial arts film which you gets to go 'ow' or ' that must have hurt' is doing something right. Equally good are the cinematography and the pumping scores of the action scenes which draws you into the final big climactic battles. The story could've used a bit of focus at times with some characters just disappearing for stretches at a time, and it was probably 10 minutes too long, otherwise it was a joy to watch. This is easily my second favourite martial arts film behind Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. In the mix is subs-stories and personal duels which are brilliantly acted by the Thai actors. If only the English actors had been just as good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Respect the rules! A group of friends that are in a fight club pride themselves on each specializing in a unique form of martial arts (Thai, karate, kung fu, tai-chi, etc). When one of their friends is kidnapped, they are forced to join a fight tournament to save her. The friends do not know they will be pitted against each other in fights to the death. "I got the box!" "I got the coin!" Panna Rittikrai, director of The Bodyguard, Born to Fight, and Ong-Bak 2 & 3, delivers BKO: Bangkok Knockout. The storyline for this picture was interesting and the characters were fairly well delivered. The action scenes were awesome but the acting was mediocre at best. The cast includes Sorapong Cratree, Kerttisak Udomnak, Krittiya Lardphanna, and Supakson Chaimongkol. "It is a privilege to get to watch." I grabbed this off Netflix because it looked interesting and I enjoy the martial arts genre. Overall, I did like the fight scenes in this movie and the premise seemed like a smaller scale Hunger Games; but the villains were disappointing and the acting was terrible in a couple key scenes. This is really only worth watching if you're a fan of the genre. "Right into my mouth, you idiot!" Grade: C+ Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
