Emilie Black Cinema Crazed ... the film takes this element, develops it, gives it some of the best scenes in the film filled with tension and original ideas, and squashes it all ... Audience Member I was attracted by the description of this film and also by the 5.8 IMDB rating. But it turns out the actors are so bad at acting and the lines of the script are full of abhorrent discrimination towards Asian and Asian culture. It was hard to watch and I couldn't even finish the whole movie. Can't believe it's even acceptable to produce a movie like this in 21st century. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Was pleasantly surprised by this indie horror film. I was a little hesitant about the film given it's mixed ratings. But decided to watch it with an open mind and was surprised to find that it is actually a pretty good film. The plot is solid, the premise of the film is good. If you are expecting a Hollywood big budget blockbuster then this is not the movie for you. But if you are looking for something different that your usual jump scares every 2 seconds and a horror film that actually has a storyline then Blood Child is one to watch. If it helps, this movie is more in the vein of Rosemary's Baby as opposed to The Conjuring, I looked into the "true story" aspect of the film and was also surprised to find that raising "ghost children" is an actual practice in South East Asia. So I can see where this film could be based on a true story. But at the end of the day film is about entertainment for me, and bottom line is that despite the fact this film is a lower budget film, it was entertaining to me. Nice change of pace to all the modern horror that is out in the market today. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the worst movies I have ever seen including rubber the killer tire , the acting is horrendous, the story line nonexistent and/or boring to no end, the ending makes you want to scream for the money and time you have wasted that could have been more productive and fun laying on your bed just looking at the ceiling Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
