Josh Bell KTNV (Las Vegas) The story is slow-moving but engaging, with a focus on character relationships, and strong acting from the main stars. Nov 18, 2020 Full Review Joel Fisher Battle Royale With Cheese There's certainly something for everyone in Blood from Stone and Geoff Ryan is a great director, but perhaps he could have chosen one theme or the other and stuck with it. Nov 16, 2020 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film There's an echo here of the kind of love that endures through everything, which is rather less poetic and rather more burdensome when one has to live with it. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 3, 2020 Full Review Andrew Stover Film Threat Blood from Stone has splashes of romance, violence, and naturalistic drama worth sinking your teeth into, however sour of an aftertaste it leaves. Rated: 7.5/10 Oct 30, 2020 Full Review Kat Hughes THN A different approach to the vampire story, Blood From Stone offers a distinct new take that is sure to be a hit with fans of Near Dark and Anne Rice. Rich T This is the best vampire movie I've seen in years. Director Geoff Ryan delivers on the blood… and booze! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/18/23 Full Review Babe L This movie was an unexpected gripper of a film. Set in a gambling town in the desert, this dark and beautifully shot vampire tale, takes the viewer on a wild journey into the night. It for sure delivers on the horror and humor of the genre, while also carving its own distinctive voice. While I wish the acting was a better, it lends itself to a kind of campy-ness that I am guessing must have been an intentional choice for the director... If you like Horror and vampire films, I definitely recommend! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/12/23 Full Review Mathura H This is not your usual vampire movie. This is about relationships, self-worth, self-doubt and questioning WTF it's all for. Wrapped as a vampire movie - and the most real of one too - it's a wild ride of its own. This is a really good movie. The second from Geoff Ryan, it feel more like his fifth or sixth in how driven, artistic and yet easy it is with no b.s at all. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/12/23 Full Review Linda N Cool contemporary take on vampires. We needed an updated version rather than a period piece. Beautifully shot and actually a short of unrequited love. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
