Characters were terrible, basic, bland and so unlikable. It was boring as hell. The kills were not good. If you want to see people with creepy smiles, watch Smile and Smile 2. This was just bad. Got even worse when the main girls dare was to sleep with her friends boyfriend which they gladly do with barely any pushback...oh the horror, I guess they needed a sex scene jammed in somewhere for the kids to laugh at. Lame. Don't bother and save yourself time. It kept me entertained the whole time and at no point did I find it boring. It felt consistent enough to warrant a middle-range rating; it never raises high expectations but there aren't any disappointing moments either. I also don't think it has a high or exaggerated level of violence, which I consider a positive for this film. After watching it I checked the ratings it's received and I think it's another example of why you shouldn't automatically rule out a movie just because it has a lot of bad reviews; I think Truth or Dare is being punished in that regard, or maybe I'm not considering things that other people are. I'd recommend it to people who want to watch a light horror film in the "teen horror" subgenre, which in my opinion competes well with other movies of the same style.
