Olivia, Lucas and a group of their college friends travel to Mexico for one last getaway before graduation. While there, a stranger convinces one of the students to play a seemingly harmless game of truth or dare with the others. Once the game starts, it awakens something evil -- a demon which forces the friends to share dark secrets and confront their deepest fears. The rules are simple but wicked -- tell the truth or die, do the dare or die, and if you stop playing, you die.

I thought it was a fun, stupid movie. I kind of liked the ending, contrary to many others. I thought it was a cute callback to her lying about killing her friends to save the population of Mexico. I couldn't get past the absolutely ridiculous screenwriting. I get that it's campy, but for some of these kids' best friends' horrific deaths there were almost zero reaction. Oh whoops Penelope got shot. Lol.

It's a riff on all of the teen slasher-horror franchises that have come before it, with a twist of Smile and a pinch of inspiration from the myriad demonic possession movies we've all seen. This is a clichéd, easy-to-predict movie, but it is also as fun and enjoyable as the franchises we all secretly (or proudly) enjoyed when we were younger

This movie was halfway decent for teenage campy horrors but mailed it in terribly at the end. I don't see how anyone can be anything other than a troll complementing that final wreck. It wasn't even gloriously awful. It was just a lethargic, half-hearted FU to the audience.
