Claudio C Books of Blood (2020) Three Tales Entwined in the End (12,031 – 02 Nov 2025– by Claudio Carvalho) The enforcer Bennett (Yul Vazquez) comes to a library to collect the debts of the bookkeeper. He has no money and offers The Book of Blood original, but Bennett kills him. Meanwhile, the teenager Jenna (Britt Robertson) has misophonia, and the smallest of noises irritates her. She steals money from her parents and travels to Los Angeles. She finds an isolated bed and breakfast run by the elders Ellie (Freda Foh Shen) and Sam Austin (Nicholas Campbell). But soon she learns a dreadful secret about the couple. Professor Mary Floresky (Anna Friel) loses her beloved son Miles, who dies of leukemia. Some time later, a man called Simon McNeal (Rafi Gavron) visits her office and claims that he is psychic and is able to contact Miles. The three tales entwin in the end, with surprising revelations. “Books of Blood” (2020) is an anthology with the tales directed by Brannon Braga and entwined in the end. The supernatural stories are gripping, but the conclusions are disappointing. My vote is six. Title (Brazil): “Livros de Sangue” (“Books of Blood”) My Blog: https://maniacosporfilme.wordpress.com/ Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/03/25 Full Review Gonzalo G Fun to watch with friends. Not really scary but good story twists. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/25 Full Review Korra N Only somewhat better than the first "Books of Blood" adaptation over a decade ago, this adaptation is still a bit too slow & unfocused, but there are still genuine moments of terror, keeping this from being outright bad. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/30/25 Full Review Sakudog G This movie was just boring. No suspense, no depth - just a messy mix of random stories. That one character (Jenna or whatever) runs away, then comes back just to get her ears, eyes and tongue removed? Makes no sense at all. The stories had potential, but they were rushed and felt cheap. Nothing was really thought through. Not a masterpiece - more like a lesson in how to ruin horror. And honestly, an 18+ rating? For what? A few weak effects? Ridiculous. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/15/25 Full Review Jennifer B Very underrated. Loved it. Strong acting. Even though it’s not one of Clive stories, it stays along with his writing style. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/26/25 Full Review chris m It’s starts off with some promise, but falls into typical cliches and a not shocking, dull ending. Save yourself 2 hours and watch just about anything else on Hulu. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Read all reviews
