The romance element was ok, but the comedy was sadly lacking. There were so many distractions to the plot! It was extremely disjointed and not well paced as a film. While it was refreshing to see a Carribean-British family at the heart of a rom-com, much of the acting lacked subtly, meaning that the characters ended up feeling like a collection of stereotypes. I was looking for a new festive film to watch every year, sadly this isn't it.

Moderately entertaining. Some of the dialogue was hard to understand with thick English/Caribbean accents and rapid speech. The story was somewhat romcom-predictable.
