And yet BPM (meaning beats per minute) is a beautiful film, full of drama and humour, love and politics, argument and action. Go to Full Review

It doesn't try to be a comforting film, and it certainly isn't. It's strident, unwieldy and confronting. Go to Full Review

Rebotini's dissonant, humming, house-inflected score - and the metronome-like heartbeats that underscore the action - are reminders that, even on their deathbed, a person has a pulse. In its dying gasps, the film grasps at life. Go to Full Review

The documentary-like feature of 120 BPM makes the film instantly appealing, and it is great the film does not shy away from portraying the worst, accentuating the frustration, anger, despair, and pain of the members of ACT UP-Paris and AIDS sufferers. Go to Full Review
Steve Cruz OUT FRONT Magazine (Denver) 05/09/2023
When the film jumps into the flurry and turmoil of a civil disobedience protest, it still comes down to the individuals whose stories the film is telling. It does so with gravity, humor, and affection. Go to Full Review

Pretty T @Breck69 Dec 12 I burst into tears three times while I was watching this movie. Although I don’t have a deep understanding of some aspects of cinematography,I’m just attracted by the vitality of the characters. It’s not easy to deal with the prejudice from others but what I see in this film is the unlimited courage to stand up for myself and the sympathy that I should always own for those who are struggling in this society. For me, it really is a significant film especially in these years when more discrimination is emerging. And we’ll fight for all what we deserve and what we treasure. See more Read all reviews
