craig p This movie along with McQ are very good for the type of genre ,plenty of good scenes, action, ect.the Duke was good in most all his movies. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/01/23 Full Review John K I saw it when it came out in 75 and it was enjoyable enough, I wasnt expecting a masterpiece, and it wasnt, but watching JW as a fish out of water had enormous potential, and saddling him with a young female British cop was inspired casting, trouble was the script never really takes off. There is one enjoyable bar fight that could have taken place in a 50 Wayne westerns back in the day and there is good byplay between he and chief detective Richard Attenborrough, I just wish more could have been mined by the great disparity with the London location standing in for a China shop and Wayne the proverbial bull. Like I already wrote, it just never takes off. BTW, John Vernon, as usual, is terrific in an underwritten supporting role. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/05/23 Full Review Liam D A very generic cop action movie but even though you can tell that John Wayne (The High and the Mighty, The Barbarian and the Geisha) is getting up in years but he still has the charisma and the great supporting cast Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/22 Full Review Audience Member A very dated movie with a very dated lead actor. Sean Connery was able to pull it off where John Wayne could not. It's a western that's disguised as a cop movie in London. There is even a saloon fight scene and a shootout with his six shooter. Wayne is his usual witty and charming self, with the swagger to match. However, you could have plugged in any number of younger action stars, and made a far better movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member It's one of those Saturday afternoon movies, you want to watch another one after you watch it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review delysid d i thought this movie was perfectly acceptable, but hardly as good as dirty harry Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/22/18 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times It's a Western, really, but then most cop movies are, these days. I guess it's cheaper to film in a city. Rated: 2/4 Oct 23, 2004 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com
looking great on blu-ray, Brannigan is a lap-of-honour for Wayne and Hickox, a smash-and grab copshow that demonstrates that the US/UK alliance was in full flow back in 1975; they really don’t make them like this any more
. Rated: 4/5 Aug 26, 2023 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy There's too much of an emphasis on lengthy chases and stakeouts when what we really want to see are more interactions between Wayne and his co-stars. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 18, 2021 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins All by itself, the jazzy theme by Dominic Frontiere makes the film worth watching. Rated: 7/10 Aug 27, 2020 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com It's hard to imagine a scenario more ill-fitted for John Wayne than 1975 London, but there he is in all his ripened glory. Rated: 2/5 Aug 26, 2020 Full Review Ruth Batchelor Los Angeles Free Press I won't say Brannigan is without laughs. Most of them in the wrong places. Dec 4, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
