Steve D I don't know what she sees in him but the film is absolutely hilarious. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/14/23 Full Review Audience Member THIS movie had so much going for it. Great cast, both leads and supporting. But this comedy became infected my a mood of mean spiritedness and the characters became unlikable at times. Too bad, it had such great moments.Could have been a classic with some rewriting and better direction.. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member A fun, made for masses screwball comedy staring Barbara Stanwyck & Herbert Marshall, basically the story of a head strong woman showing her man how to get things done. A few cute scenes here & there but my favourite would have to be the boxing scene it's just simply well staged & works. Although it is a little run of the mill there is clearly a charm to it. Incredibly that the same year she made this in 1937 & she made her career defining performance in Stella Dallas, Stanwyck is a force to be reckoned with on screen. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member descent screwball comedy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Cute slapstick romcom of it's time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member completely forgettable. aside from the butch the butler, this movie was pretty lame.
