Annie (Kristen Wiig) is a single woman whose own life is a mess, but when she learns that her lifelong best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), is engaged, she has no choice but to serve as the maid of honor. Though lovelorn and almost penniless, Annie, nevertheless, winds her way through the strange and expensive rituals associated with her job as the bride's go-to gal. Every lady who has ever been a bride, a bridesmaid, or a maid of honor should see this. You will either laugh at the moments that remind of your own wedding party or laugh thankfully that none of these characters were anyone of you or someone else.

Every single time that Melissa McCarthy was on the screen she made me double over in laughter. Her character (Megan) deserves her own film. There is clearly a reason why she was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance, because it is the definition of "scene-stealing". Overall, I enjoyed Bridesmaids quite a bit. At times, the plot felt secondary and like solely a device to connect one laugh-out-loud moment to another. On the surface, that is exactly what the movie is supposed to be. However, it made the slower moments move along... slowly. There were some loose ends that I wouldn't liked cleaned up nicer, but in the end I found this movie a lot of fun. Best Character: Megan Best Quote: "I took nine. Yeah. I did slightly overcommit to the whole dog thing. this movie felt like a saturday afternoon in the 2000s and i think that’s beautiful! the cast, specially the main ladies, the comedy and the way the story was told was just perfection! watched it at a low point for me, so this not only was comfort but it was a reminder that friendship can look in many different ways and all of them are valid and should be appreciated! loved it all and i just think we, as a society, should go back to making these type of movies, in this setting specially, more often than not!!! comedy at its finest for sure
