Charles Cassady Common Sense Media Lauded miniseries doesn't glamorize the old West. This is one of the very best films I've seen all year. Rated: 4.5/5 Aug 29, 2006 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/13/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the all time best Westerns I have ever seen, The acting and directing were superb, even had the Old West vernacular down pat when the main character goes into the General Store to buy "Therapeutic Paper" (toilet paper) and "Arbuckles" (what ever they are) Walter Hill gives us beautiful and sometimes harsh visions of the Old West, and Robert Duvall presents his usual top notch performance. I am surprised I missed this made for TV movie 15 years ago when it was made, but I am very glad to have seen it today Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Robert Duvall is amazing in this story as a wise older man giving his wisdom over so many subjects to the younger men taking a herd of horses across this beautiful country. His wisdom is country but wonderful.
