A discombobulated and vastly disappointing experience given the level of talent involved in front of and behind the camera, Brothers leaves a lot to be desired at any given point but is slightly redeemed by a few funny quips and it’s very wholesome twists, although in hindsight it’s blatantly evident that it was never going to live up to the staggering bravado of Palm Springs.

Commedia demenziale, a tratti troppo considerando che non riesce praticamente mai a strappare una risata nonostante la coppia di protagonisti sia affiatata e ben assortita. La sceneggiatura non è malvagia considerando il tipo di commedia che si vuole creare; ciò che manca però sono assolutamente i dialoghi che per tutto il film restano davvero banali e vecchi. Senza la giusta ironia il tutto risulta piuttosto piatto ed anzi alcune sequenze sono davvero fuori luogo e senza motivo; una su tutta ovviamente tutta la parte con la povera Marisa Tomei ridotta ad un cameo o poco più dallo scarso interesse e senso.
