An unprecedented and deeply emotional documentary about the most unique culture in all of Division I athletics: the West Point Rugby Team. Filmed mainly over the course of the 2023 season -- just one year after their historic National Championship -- the story weaves together verité footage, intimate interviews, and rare archival material to immerse audiences in two worlds few Americans truly understand: Rugby and West Point. With unparalleled access, the film follows the team through the soaring highs and heartbreaking lows of defending their title -- all while striving to embody the core values that define their brotherhood: Trust, Commitment, and Love.

The only problem with Brothers on Three is that it wants to cover more ground than it needs to, even if most of its content returns to addressing the significance of the team. Go to Full Review

Heartfelt, but undercooked. Brothers on Three, at times, feels like an oversimplified, sugar-coated infomercial. Go to Full Review

I appreciated how the film normalizes vulnerability amongst some of the "manliest" men on the planet. Even if you are excited to see the film, you will come away with a positive emotion, but it might not be the one that you planned. This is a story desperately needed in today's culture. See more Bob S. @steptoe Dec 17 Excellent documentary. Sean Mullin captures the dynamic of young West Point cadets in team sports competition who face and learn to cope with challenges and adversity. These same young men will later face and cope with the challenges of leading armed forces in combat. Bravo Zulu!! See more Giselle R @GRichards Dec 14 This film highlights the history of West Point's Rugby team while following the men's team during the 2023 season. This glimpse into a subculture within a subculture is not to be missed. The team's motto is Truth, Commitment, and Love, and throughout the film, you will watch the team players demonstrate those values consistently and repeatedly. It is a breath of fresh air to witness the challenges and growth of these young men who are showing us the embodiment of healthy masculinity in an era that seems to elevate the opposite. You do not need to be a sports fan or familiar with the military to find value in watching this; it is a valuable study in leadership, love and legacy. See more Read all reviews
