Audience Member There's a very strange style to this telling of the Burke and Hare story, but it's this that probably gives it its relevance and watchability. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review anthony p Appalling 1972 version of the Burke and Hare story. Basically a couple if poor Edinburgh fellows who sell dead bodies to a local surgeon. The Scottish accents can be at times difficult to understand never mind the poor quality 1972 print! Some scenes play like a Carry On comedy never mind a story of murder. I much prefer a noughties version of the story starring Andy Serkis and Simon Pegg. I only recognised one member of the cast. Glynn Edwards as Hare who went on to the dizzy heights of the landlord of the Winchester pub in the classic TV show Minder. I probably won't see this version ever...again. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Strange little British film from the 70's that is supposedly being remade very soon. The film is about two men Burke and Hare who start off by selling dead bodies to doctors and then they decide it's easier to kill people and sell them. Sort of a lost oddity the film has absolutely no gore to speak of, but is loaded with naked women running around. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
