Steve D Davis gives the same old story some life. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/29/24 Full Review Audience Member I mean, nothing can really be said. It's an extremely moving story of a conflict that pits one man between two forces that are beyond his control. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Like "Grapes of Wrath", this is a power-to-the-people film which became common during the depression. With an average looking guy becoming the key player in a local power struggle, he could have played each side off upon the other and ended up as the master of both. Instead he maneuvers both sides into just getting along. A fore-runner of several ideas espoused by the website Democracy at Work. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member good pre-code ta;lkie has the gr8 Davis line. 'I'd like 2 kiss ya but I just washed my hair' Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member "Dont you just love sunday mornings..no one home to disturb us"..i do believe this quote came from this movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member "I'd like to kiss you, but I just washed my hair." I have no idea what she meant, but that Bette Davis has style.
