Christina Newland iNews.co.uk Elizabeth Banks plays a radicalised housewife in need of a life-saving termination in this well-intentioned and timely drama. Rated: 3/5 Sep 18, 2024 Full Review Rebecca Harrison Sight & Sound If Call Jane’s narrative is largely paint-by-numbers, its closing scene eschews narrative conventions. We are left with names, circumstances, the then-as-now cries for help, and the knowledge that there is so much more still to burn. Dec 17, 2022 Full Review Wendy Ide Observer (UK) [An] entertaining, if not exactly heavyweight, movie. Rated: 3/5 Nov 6, 2022 Full Review Nuha Hassan Nuha Hassan Nagy’s Call Jane had the potential to dive into the topic of women’s reproductive rights, but it doesn’t lean towards being revolutionary. Sep 8, 2023 Full Review Taylor Gates Fanversation (YouTube) Call Jane is a story about abortion, but more than that, it’s a story about community and connection — and what we can achieve when we don’t act alone. Aug 10, 2023 Full Review Pere Vall Fotogramas Based on real events, the movie goes from the particular to the collective, from the kitchens to the streets, with steadiness and conviction, delicately and sensitively.
