Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times Not everything in the script shows that same care, but this is still an interesting, if not wholly successful first feature from the star. Jun 7, 2019 Full Review John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter Everyone from boat-tour guides to shot-bar patrons find time to ask our hero solicitous personal questions. If only he, or the film, had more interesting answers. Jun 7, 2019 Full Review Natasha Alvar The Critical Movie Critics ...the female characters exist merely for the men to develop relationships with them - none of it comes across as meaningful or life-changing like the movie wants us to believe. Mar 22, 2021 Full Review Alex Saveliev Film Threat Slight but likable, Changeland deals with moving on and the healing powers of travel and friendship. Rated: 7/10 Jun 21, 2019 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Marking Green's feature writing and directing debut, this endearing dramedy explores its relaxing, lush visuals while contemplating an inert, introverted, but surprisingly relatable character. Rated: 4/5 Jun 12, 2019 Full Review Kiko Martinez San Antonio Current A woebegone dramedy that is painfully short on laughs and overdone on the mopes. Adam H The bad reviews are clearly from people who have never gone through anything difficult and can't relate. It's a great movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/19/24 Full Review christine l Terrible. Slow, pointless hard to sit through. I felt just as miserable as the cast. Ugh. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review Gnr E Little bit boring but yeah I enjoyed it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/24/24 Full Review A K No story, no real dialog, pointless questions and answers. It's not even weird, it's just boring. So sad that my favourite Thailand had to play a role in this movie ;) Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/22/23 Full Review Steven G I was intrigued by the cast and seth green being the director. Unfortunately, a super epic fail. The directing was actually terrible, and the story was even worse. The first hour is literally pointless conversation surrounding what to do when your wife cheats. The second 40 minutes was useless considering you stopped caring an hour ago. The concept could be a good movie, but not this one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Changeland is the feature-length Writing and Directorial debut of Seth Green who also stars as the down on his luck Brandon who invites his childhood friend Dan (Breckin Meyer) on a trip to Thailand. I enjoyed this movie as the pair made their way around the beautiful Thai landscape meeting many eccentric characters one of these being, the excellent Macaulay Culkin as Ian the flamboyant, ex-pat tour boat operator. Brenda Song & Clare Grant play Pen & Dory, also tour boat operators, who along with Ian and a fun "Let's do some shots" cameo by WWE superstar Randy Orton help to show Brandon, there are plenty of ways to find love and live a happy life. This film will make you want to laugh, smile, maybe a little sadness but ultimately you will end up feeling positive for Brandon's future and your own, which will possibly involve a trip to Thailand.
