Audience Member I hope audience reviews show up, because this film deserves a bit more attention. Good cast. Sure, it's not an Oscar winner, but it's a pretty interesting watch. Go read some descriptions to see if it's the type you're into. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member wow amazing cameos! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/20 Full Review Audience Member An interesting idea that plays out like a play. The various famous faces keep the time passing but the film goes nowhere. Julianne Moore is the highlight. Also, a blink and you'll miss it role for Gillian Anderson Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member A GREAT CHICAGO MOVIE! Very well made. Paul Dillion is incredible in it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member If you're into "day in the life" movies like CLERKS, then you'd probably get a kick out of this one. It's a "day in the life of a Chicago cabbie." There are some interesting characters he meets along his shift. Very quirky and worth checking out. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Though not the most enthralling premise for a movie - day in the life of a Chicago cab driver, I kind of liked this slight film. I have to admit, 30 minutes in, I was really not feeling it, and had started to write a so-so review as I watched, but slowly but surely this one grew on me. The 90's setting and soundtrack fit and the quality of the passengers improve as the movie goes on. John C Reilly particularly is a real douche here and, as I only know him from newer movies, it was strange to see him so much younger. I also found the brief Laurie Metcalf scene amusing and the cougar lawyer as pitiful as it was amusing. The Gillian Anderson scene is underwhelming and John Cusack strangely menacing. I really don't think I would like this guys job! As it is set around Christmas time, not a bad movie for that time of year. Worth a look. Maya Dukmasova Chicago Reader An all-star cast of cameos is a balm for forced cheer. Rated: 4/4 Dec 24, 2019 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times True, the movie seems to be mixing the paint a bit thick -- but would the film improve with the substitution of boring passengers who just want to go to the Wrigley Building, and leave a nice tip? Drama is always made of the emotional high points. Rated: 3/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com The various passengers (played by John Cusack, Julianne Moore and Laurie Metcalf) highlight the funny, scary, and dreary moments that define a typical work day of a Chicago cab driver.
