Low production ghost movie with disney effects (outch), timetravelling demons (ok) and Joey Wong (oho!). It's not boring but also not really rememberable though it is quite a ride in terms of action. In fact action is restless and therefore becomes kind of meaningless. If you're a die-hard Joey fan it might be worth watching though she is not very often on screen and if she is you will still not get to see much of her. The first scenes her face is almost always in the shadow. Don't expect a ghost movie like CGS. If you look for good ghost story movies watch Portrait of a Nymph, Fox Legend, Eternal Combat and Chinese Legend (aka Moon Legend). In it's overall quality this one doesn't come anywhere near those. Also beware of the WideSight DVD (regular HK version i guess). The image quality is terrible. In fact its so terrible that at times you will not be able to read the subtitles. Not because the image background gets to bright, but because it gets so dark that they sink away in it.

One off the tens copycats followed by the great success off [A Chinese Ghost Story I] & Joey Wang's high-rising fame back in mid-80s. It was "ok" when I watched it in the cinema almost 2 decades ago but now... its sorta lame, to be frank.
