Audience Member Whoa! The sexual tension, the special effects!!! Did Spielberg and Lucas combine to make this film with advice from Nicholas Sparks and whoever wrote 50 Shades of Grey?!? This movie is up there with Citizen Kane, The Godfather and Sharknado! Cinema at its best!!! *Best enjoyed with wine* Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review matt w Bad writing. Bad acting. Bad effects. No so bad it's good, just bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Contemporary variation of the nineteen-fifties sci-fi film The Monolith Monsters, which was most likely a comment on the spread of Communism where a meteor crashes outside a small desert town. The stone from space splinters into millions of pieces which in turn grow into huge obelisks which topple over, crushing everything in their path and starting the process all over again. If anyone touches the stones, they are slowly turned to stone, hence symbolic of the creeping threat of Communism. Icetastrophe is not so clever though it does elaborate on how objects from space may have brought water to primordial. Earth. In Icetastrophe the meteor unleashes towering crystals of ice, spreading vicious snow squeals and terminal cases of frostbite. Maybe the threat of drastic climate change is the point here. But at least it's entertaining. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/25/19 Full Review Audience Member I love to watch this movie. It is a classically bad disaster movie and we watch it every Christmas eve! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Terrible. No other words Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Christmas Icetastrophe delivers more or less what you'd expect, in particular loads of rubbish CGI shots of things freezing over.
